Direct Investment
MDC sources and underwrites properties for private and institutional investors seeking long-term ownership. Our Investment strategies are fully customized by property type, geography, target returns, risk and liquidity. Priority is given to off-market acquisitions and redevelopment opportunities, using value-add or Core/Core+ strategies to enhance operational performance and income growth.
Co-Investment
MDC actively co-invests in commercial real estate opportunities, offering syndicated participation alongside our network of trusted investors. MDC’s co-investment strategy provides investors with direct access to premium commercial real estate opportunities across Western Canada and the United States. Accounting
MDC provides comprehensive commercial property accounting services designed to deliver accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting for property owners and investors. Our team oversees day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, rent roll administration, operating cost recoveries, budgeting, and variance analysis. Through disciplined controls and clear financial reporting, we support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance across our portfolio.
Leasing
With an established presence across Western Canada and the United States, MDC supports leasing execution through long-standing relationships with brokerage teams in each market. We work closely with best-in-class local leasing professionals to position assets, structure lease terms, and advance transactions across each of our asset classes.
Acting as an owner’s representative, MDC provides strategic oversight throughout the leasing process, including broker coordination, tenant evaluation, lease negotiation support, and landlord-work and tenant-improvement alignment. Our hands-on, collaborative approach is focused on completing leases efficiently and achieving outcomes that align the interests of both landlords and tenants.
MDC targets select asset classes in key markets, including service and grocery anchored retail, industrial, mixed use, and boutique office. While we pursue core, core-plus and value add-acquisitions, we are truly opportunistic and entrepreneurial, evaluating other asset classes when the seal and strategy align with our conviction to create long-term, stable returns for our investors and partners.
